Let’s Party!
Last week I took some pictures for my friend, Hilary, a floral and event designer. She has a great eye for style. Below is some of the beautiful work she did at Newport Harbor Yacht Club.
Things to Love Thursday
I’m a lover of all things vintage. I especially love the look old pictures shot on film have. Earlier this summer, I decided it was time to put the digital camera aside and start experimenting with film. So I bought myself a couple of toy cameras. The first, a Diana Mini, is made entirely of plastic and shoots 35mm film. The second, an Instax Mini25s, is like Fuji’s version of a Polaroid camera. They are so much fun! I’m working on a couple of projects with each of these. Once I get the rolls of film developed, I’ll start posting some pictures these beauties have taken.
Hello, World!
Now that my website is officially up and running, it only seems fit to start off with a giant thank-you note. My deepest gratitude goes out to my family, friends, and everyone who played a part in bringing B Street Photo to life.
Joan- I could write you a novel. You are my sounding board, photo assistant, and picture sorter extraordinaire. You’ve given me endless encouragement, love, and support.
D-Man- You are my business manager & taught me to always trust my gut. Thanks for going out of your way to help me with the business aspect of being a photographer. As if that wasn’t enough, you built my studio!
Mini- I appreciate your willingness to play along & throw on your partici-pants at a moment’s notice. Never once have you said no to or complained about having your pictures taken. You’re the best backdrop roller upper/downer I know!
R Bear- I’m lucky to have a hot sister in-law; you make my photos look so good. Thanks for always doing what I ask with a smile on your face.
Boy- You’re the smartest person I know; thanks for sharing your business sense with me. You always raise questions about business that I don’t even think to ask, and you seem to have the answers to them all.
Maggie- I know you’re a dog and can’t read, but you deserve a shout out too! You’re invincible & I love you.
Uncle Bob- Thank you for sharing your knowledge, expertise, equipment, & support. I’m so grateful to have you as a mentor.
Lauren & Jerrol- You guys have been tremendously helpful. Without Team Krause I wouldn’t have a website. You’ve put in a lot of work and have been generous in giving so much of your time. I can’t thank you enough!
To everyone who has ever been in front of my lens – None of this would have been possible without you! Thanks everyone!
Love,
Britty (and the giant rooster)
